Nashik is about 4 hours drive from Mumbai.
And road should be preferred to rail as the drive experience is awesome.
Plan a trip to Nashik during rains (Aug-Sep) and you’ll love the drive when you go through clouds touching expressway.
Expressway has some great food joints including very popular Shiv Sagar.
Start early from Mumbai (Max by 6:30 AM) to beat traffic before you hit the Mumbai Nashik Expressway.
Reach Nashik by Noon and relax at hotel for couple of hours.
I stayed at Ginger Hotel in Nashik.
It’s an excellent budget business hotel with basic amenities and polite staff.
Rooms are well clean and tidy.
Bathrooms are very well maintained and cleaned
There aren’t too many luxurious resorts or hotels in nashik.
May be Hotel Ibis is a better option to Ginger; but I am not sure about it.
Late afternoon, you can head for Sula Vineyards.
Don’t worry about the weather as its gonna be very pleasant.
You can stay at Sula for couple of hours and enjoy some drinks.
Sula has an awesome bar with an amazing view of vineyard.
You can check the internet for some other places to visit in Nashik.
For food, head to college road.
Try out the roadside “Dabelli”, Chips at shop named “Hot Chips”.
Pancham is superb for food. “Family Khakhra” is a must have over there.
Relax the next day and head back to Mumbai…
Again, awesome weather , smooth drive , great scenes !!!!!
